  Why we love Summer Glau

  Some things just don’t last long enough – a first kiss, or maybe a really tasty roast dinner. For sci-fi fans that one thing was Firefly. Created by Joss Whedon of Buffy fame, it was a slice of sci-fi perfection not least because it involved Summer Glau as a hard-as-nails child prodigy who loved a ruck. Despite its cancellation, the 30-year-old Texan’s skill with a roundhouse set her up nicely to take on the role of a sassy terminator in The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Can Terminators be sassy, maybe they can’t? Sassy feels more like something a mouthy but secondary best friend might be in a high-school film. So what would a Terminator be? Not cross…Resigned? Curious? Not sure really.
  Her roles in Firefly, Serenity, Chronicles, Dollhouse and most recently The Cape have made her a cult hero among certain fringes of the internet and TV loving communities. It’s likely that this is down to the fact she is incredibly pretty but not in the same way as say Megan Fox, who looks a bit scary sometimes. Like if you said the wrong thing her jaw would dislocate and she could swallow you whole. None of that with Summer Glau, she looks like the kind of gal you might want to share a smoothie with. Sounds amazing right? Classic Summer.
