"When you’re a model you get changed backstage in front of everyone.
It builds your resistance to nudity."
Why we love Natasha Alam
Natasha Alam, a Russian goddess who has got the kind of eyes you shouldn’t look directly in to. You might have noticed Natasha Alam on credits for CSI, NYPD Blue, Nip/Tuck and Entourage, as you tried to work out who the hot cameo was played by. Fortunately those appearances developed in to more substantial roles in The Bold and the Beautiful, and more recently True Blood. She also played a lesbian vampire in Twilight Shadow. As if you didn’t know.
Natasha was born in Tashkent in what is now Uzbekistan, and moved to Moscow in search of her own independence – where she started modelling. A good call we think. She then was scouted by an international modelling agency (which can’t have been that hard – we could have scouted her) and started modelling across Europe having “had a lot of problems with local mafia” after the collapse of the Soviet Union. After meeting Amir Ebrahim Pahlavi Alam – the grandson of the Shah of Iran – she got married and became a Princess. It also probably meant she had shedloads of money, so she started studying acting techniques and accent reduction – yeah, that’s a real thing.
And once all the acting classes had started to pay off with roles so she could forge her own career path, Alam divorced the Shah’s grandson, keeping his name along with her amazing looks, honed talent, and Princess title. Not bad. “Supposedly you keep it until he remarries, and that hasn’t happened yet.” Well, where does he go after that?
