You really must risk getting yourself in to a lot of trouble being a talent scout for models… Ana Beatriz Barros was spotted sunning herself on a beach while on holiday in Rio de Janeiro at the age of 13. Admittedly, the scout used Ana’s older sister as a clever cover story, taking her on as well, but while she’s done alright for herself in the modelling industry, it’s Ana who has made the bigger waves.

At 14 she came 2nd in worldwide model competition, and went on to model for GUESS? alongside Alessandra Ambrosio. Apparently the two are good friends – imagine walking in to a bar and seeing that pair sat sharing a drink; FHM would probably do an involuntary Looney Toons-esque head shake and eye bulge before completely losing the ability to speak and just letting out high pitched squeaks of excitement. We did say probably.

Anyway, after that things really took off for Ana Beatriz, and she became hugely in demand. She’s since worked for the likes of Christian Dior, Gucci and Versace. But of course the stuff that really interests us is her work with the model makers and breakers that are Victoria’s Secret. She has been part of their fashion show on no fewer than six occasions. And if you’re still trying to work out where else you’ve seen her before, she became the face and body of lingerie for Marks and Spencers in 2010, making the roles of Lisa Snowdon, Dannii Minogue and Twiggy in their ads redundant.
