  Why we love Olivia Wilde

  Contrary to what you might think, Olivia Wilde is not, in fact wild. She was tamed by her parents, Leslie and Andrew Cockburn. Coming from a family of writers and journalists, Wilde (a stage name, obvs) was unusual in that she wanted to be an actress since she was two years old. And act she did.
  Educating herself in America and Ireland, Olivia Wilde appeared in films like Alpha Dog and The Girl Next Door, before she broke the crust on the show business crème-brule with her role as the love interest of a sexually curious Mischa Barton in The O.C..
  But it would be her role in the wildely (fnar!) successful House as Dr. Remy Hadley, that would send her career into the Troposphere (that’s near space, fact-fans, she’s not Meryl Streep yet!). Olivia Wilde’s been hanging with Geoff Bridges in Tron: Legacy:, Daniel Craig in Cowboys & Aliens and Ryan Reynolds in The Change-Up. She’s owning Hollywood.
